Back in the 1920s, Walter Chrysler revealed his first car engineered with an advanced six cylinders–and at an affordable price. This special vehicle contained many features that other cars of the same time period did not, such as a compression engine, carburetor air filter, and more.

Chrysler began making many sales, and the company slowly made their way to the top of the car world. The Chrysler family is one of the most notable American families that started a corporation and built it from the ground up.

The Chrysler Headquarters is located in Detroit, Michigan and due to the recent automobile crisis of 2008, required government loans to prevent them from shutting down. This may have knocked Chrysler down, but they got right back up and continued to push forward like any American would.

In 2009, Chrysler climbed out this hole and to this day continues to manufacture quality vehicles. While they have been technically owned by the Italian Fiat company since 2011, they employ 40,000 Americans across America.

Chrysler’s story is a great example of how an American company will refuse to give up and allow small things to get in the way.
