According to the Economic Policy Institute, America has lost 2.7 million U.S. jobs to China between 2001 and 2011 alone. China is also the third largest holder of U.S. debt, after the Social Security Trust Fund and Federal Reserve, holding about eight percent of our held U.S. public debt.

Without enough quality jobs in the United States, more Americans are falling into poverty than ever before. A new report by the Census Bureau showed 108,592,000 Americans were on some sort of means-tested government benefits program at the end of 2011.

According the New York Times, China undervalues their currency by about 40 percent in order to gain an advantage over their foreign competitors. So Chinese companies thrive while their competition in the United States goes out of business. But if Americans choose to purchase American-made products, we could stimulate our country’s economy and create U.S. job as the same time! Help your country prosper, buy made in America goods.

Thanks for not only explaining why it’s important to buy American but also giving great suggestions on WHERE to do so.
