One of TV’s most notable icons is Good Morning America’s anchor Diane Sawyer, who recently made an effort to help the United States grow as a nation. Back in 2011, she created her campaign, “Made in America,” which urges people to buy American-made products and stray away from buying foreign goods.

Sawyer claims that if every American citizen pledges to spend an extra $3.33 on American goods, this will spark a massive job growth in our nation. She states that 10,000 new jobs will created in America if each person contributes their $3.33 to domestic products.

Our current poor economic standing leads many Americans to question our nation’s problem of mass consumerism, and why we continue to keep buying more. Once Americans fully understand that purchasing too many products from overseas adds to our economic problem, only then can we begin to bounce back. By supporting products that are made by fellow Americans, we can restore the morale and economic standing of our great nation!

Good on you, Diane Sawyer, for bringing this to the American Consumer’s attention about the poor economic standing in the USA and buying foreign made products. I would definitely pay the extra $3.33 to buy American made products and help our economic job growth!

I really support this initiative. There’s nothing as good as “Made in America” quality, so that’s a label I look for on products!
