Accurate Lock and Hardware

Accurate Lock and Hardware originally began as an offshoot of Accurate Tool and Die in 1960, making specialty locks as a sub contractor for Yale and Tate. It wasn’t until 1972 that they split off into a full-fledged independent lock manufacturer. Since those small beginnings, they have become the premier manufacturer of custom locks for architectural projects. In the 70’s they designed specialized institutional locks that met new code requirements, but were also retrofitted for existing preparations. These locks were so sturdy and reliable that the Attica officials came directly to Accurate Lock after the Attica riots in 1971. They requested custom high security locks and Accurate delivered a spectacular product. Shortly thereafter they released their new line of robust dead latches.

In the 90’s, Accurate began production of their 9100 mortise lock, which has become the preferred lock of OEM trim manufacturers across the country. They have since expanded their products to include heavy duty screen door locks, marine grade locks, and even pocket door locks and trims. Accurate Lock and Hardware is still based in Connecticut and dedicated to making the best product on the market right here in America.  If you’re in the market for restoration hardware and heavy duty locks, Accurate Lock and Hardware is a solid, American-made choice.
