The Ford F-150

by Sunday, May 4, 2014

As American citizens, we are constantly encouraged to buy American-made products in order to help our nation, but in today’s world it’s difficult to know what is truly American. It seems that every company manufactures some of their products overseas making it hard to trust producers claiming they are American-made.

According to the Wall St. Cheat Sheet, a recent study at American University in Washington D.C. ranked the most American cars of the 2014 year in the Kogod Made in America Car Index. Atop the list was the Ford F-150 winning most American-made truck by a landslide.

There were more than 760,000 F-150 trucks sold in 2013 dominating the pickup truck sales race. Behind the Ford F-series truck was another pickup truck competitor, the Chevy Silverado which trailed sales by 280,000 trucks. This massive win is not only great for the Ford Company, but it also speaks volumes for the economy of the United States. This means Americans prefer American-made vehicles on the market over the foreign competitors which helps our economy flourish.
