Founded in 1986, Litespeed is a U.S bicycle manufacturer that has earned a place in American manufacturing history. During the time period that titanium was thought be unsuitable for making bicycles, Litespeed raised the bar by introducing the world to a modern titanium bike frame that took the bike racing industry by storm.

Their titanium bikes are known to be durable yet lightweight, without compromising a high quality ride. Litespeed’s dedication to cutting edge technology garnered the attention high profile riders such as Lance Armstrong, who used a Litespeed Blade during the 1999 Tour de France. Other bicycle manufacturers such as DeRosa, Basso, Rocky Mountain and more, couldn’t resist the pull of Litespeed’s expertise and had models created for them.

Litespeed’s titanium tubing is so spectacular, they created the framework support for the combined wheels of NASA’s Mars Rover, Curiosity, in 2012. Without a doubt, the landing gear was instrumental to the success of the mission.

Litespeed has continued to remain current with a line of carbon cycles and frames. If you are looking for a solid ride, look no further than your own backyard; Litespeed is American manufacturer that is definitely here to stay!
