Amigo Mobility Scooters

by Wednesday, October 8, 2014

Improving the quality and ease of mobility was the founding mission behind Amigo Mobility, launched in 1968 by Al Thieme. The young man, a Bridgeport, Michigan, native, was inspired by his family member’s battle with multiple sclerosis. After meeting with many organizations, such as MS Society, who dedicate their time and efforts to the study of this disease, Thieme tailored a mobile scooter that would provide exceptional benefit and functionality to user.

The company provides a number of affordable, durable scooters that can easily be modified or customized to suit the needs of nearly any patient. Conveniently, their online stores offers scooters that are built for indoor or outdoor usage. Those looking to take an Amigo scooter for a test run before deciding can easily locate one of their dealers in nearly every state for a detailed demonstration.

The Amigo Mobility Center, located in two Michigan cities (Bridgeport and Grand Rapids) offers individualized customer service through their program, which carefully evaluates the needs of any customer, and best recommends a product to have them situated. This personal care has extended to the environment, as Amigo has launched efforts to remain environmentally friendly through Green Certified Business status with the Institute for Green Certification.

Since the inception of Amigo Mobility, the company has committed to remain family and American run. Today, their headquarters occupies nearly 52,000 square feet of space, where they carefully and precisely ensure they can consistently provide the improvement of life through mobility.

    Hello Matt,

(I apologize for posting this as comment. I am having a hard time finding an email for you. I understand if you want to keep this comment private.)

My name is Abi Ray and I work for a company called R. Riveter. I wanted to introduce myself while extending my appreciation for the purpose + mission behind your blog. At R. Riveter we truly appreciate fellow American made enthusiasts!

    R. Riveter is a unique handbag company that I think you and your readers will love for two reasons: our beautiful American made handbags + our remarkable story.

On average military families are relocated every 2.9 years, that’s about ten times the amount of their civilian counterparts! This makes it very difficult for the spouse to pursue a single career or gain work experience. R Riveter is founded on Rosie the Riveter’s “we can do it” attitude, which seeks to empower military spouses through flexible and mobile employment. Our handbags are 100% American made solely by military spouses using upcycled military materials like duffel bags, wool blankets and shelter halves which bring together character and history in a product made entirely by hand. With classic simplicity, a powerful mission and modern styling, our inspired handbags are sure to be a hit with your readers.
I have attached some images of our American handmade bags + accessories.
We are in the final week of our Kickstarter and we could really use your help to spread the word (Ends October 17th). Here’s the link for more information which includes a video and bullet points on why these items are unique:

If you’re interested, please let me know how I can make the writing process easy for you and your team. I’m happy to send more photos or information. You can also visit our website for more information about us.

Thanks for taking the time to check us out!

      Hello Abi,

Thank you for sharing your American brand with us! We can definitely write a post about R. Riveter, it sounds like an amazing company that we would love to highlight. We may not have a post live in time for the end of your Kickstarter campaign, but we will absolutely cover the brand in the near future.

Thanks and have a great day!

      Sara
